Davog & Nick

Well, we got a bit fed up from heading out to the reef with no room in the tinny and getting smashed about by waves so went out and grabbed a Shark Cat.
We have been told that it starred in some Aussie children's program called Ocean Girl which would explain all the camera brackets we had to remove.
This was someone else's project which Nick and I picked up for next to nothing. Needs a fair amount of work but will be smicko once its done.
You can check out the progress here. Ask nicely and you might even get a run in it!

UPDATE
We do own the Ocean Girl Boat!!!!

After months of searching for videos I found some on the web.
After reading episode transcripts it appeared that the boat was featured in one episode but after viewing the vids, I found that it was in pretty much all of them.
Anyway we are finally priming it and have had the seats done. Only three more coats to go.

Bow view

All Stainless bits to come off for repaint.

Stern

Twin 115's to shove it along at 35 knots or so!! One of the twins is sick!

Port Side

Canopy, lights, lugs and cleats etc. all coming of for total paint job.

Main Cabin Area

Seats are shot. Canopy and curtains need some TLC

Deck

Deck looks a bit sad but a bit of Marine Carpet should sort it right out.

Helm

All the gauges need to come out. Its like spagetti behind there. Helm needs sanding back and varnished.

No Gauges

Removed all these. None of them worked. Plus about 20m of redundant wiring!

Helm

Nice piece of Marine ply. Essential gauges to come later. Perhaps.

Nick doing a bit of work!

Baz doing what he does best!

You gotta love the serenity.

Helm

All sanded back and ready for painting.

Pete gave up after 10mins of hard slog

Marty does a fine job on the Esky
